Psi-Fi Books!

PsiFiBooks.com logoWelcome to PsiFiBooks.com, the imprint and web site for Psi-Fi books by me, William X. Adams.

The logo features the two Greek letters, psi, and phi, (ψ-Φ). “Psi” (ψ) stands for psychology, the study of the mind. Phi, pronounced “fye,” stands for fiction, same as it does in “sci-fi.”

Psi-fi is psychological fiction that explores consciousness in a technological context. My stories often use a robot or an alien as a contrast to a human, because “It takes an alien to understand humans.”

Sci-fi is about stretching the boundaries of scientific and engineering ideas but psi-fi is about stretching psychological ideas, such as perception, language, dreaming, memory, motivation, imagination, creativity, agency, socialization, empathy, and above all, the mind-body problem: how does the immaterial mind connect to the physical body?  I review psi-fi books at www.psi-fi.net.

This site features my published work. This is where my books face the world as each one is ready. Each is described in detail and a free sample chapter is available. The actual sales (ebooks and print) are handled by Smashwords.com, Amazon and other such firms and this site directs you there.

I hope you’ll browse my books as soon as they are released and I hope you’ll tell me what you think of them.
