5 Stars for Polters!

Reader Views (www.readerviews.com) awarded Polters a rare five-star review.  The reviewer wrote,

“Polters: First in the Polter Series” by William X. Adams, is a highly entertaining and engrossing science fiction novel with a ghostly theme…

If you like novels about mystery, reality, love, death, and symbolism, you will love this book. Adams writes in a way that captures the imagination, and does it in a direct, compact way. But there is some gallows humor that helps balance out the dark drama so that it isn’t just a doom and gloom experience. The romance adds another layer, making this work seem poetic in a way.

You can’t really say what will happen next, so the mysterious feel of the book keeps you invested through the chapters. I love the contrast between the living and the dead, and the river that divides the two. The conflict, choices, and thought processes of the characters are interesting to explore. You begin to feel drawn to the characters, as if you want to become part of their lives and find out what happens to them.

This author makes the supernatural seem so realistic. The symbolism is there to enjoy if you’re looking for it, and you won’t get bogged down by too many details in the author’s world-building process. You will get an inside look at Clay’s photography job. This novel has something for everyone, really: engaging characters, interesting settings, different moods, and exploration of the spirit realm. This is one of those books you’d love to see made into a film. For a good read that you will remember for a long time to come, “Polters: First in the Polter Series” by William X. Adams, is a must-read.”
